How EPEL Helps

Enriching Partnerships for Early Learning (EPEL) works collaboratively with over 140 community partners—including early education directors, teachers, in-home care providers, families, and cross-sector organizations—to build a family-centered, equitable, and high-quality early childhood system. Focused on children five and under, we raise awareness about the importance of early learning, connect families to vital resources, and expand access to programs that support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, and school readiness skills.

EPEL actively engages families and providers, using local data and parent input to create a connected, easy-to-navigate system. Through a collective impact approach, we strengthen early childhood programs, build strong community partnerships, and ensure every child in the Greater Elgin Area has equitable opportunities to thrive from birth through Kindergarten. By collaborating with our communities, we are dedicated to fostering a brighter future for early childhood education.
