Basics Insights™

The Basics Insights text messaging program helps parents and caregivers integrate early childhood learning into daily routines. Families with children from birth to age three will receive two free, simple, science-based tips and activities each week, delivered directly to their phones to support their child’s learning and brain development.

Insights™ is available to all families with children from birth to age 3 within U-46’s boundaries, serving 11 communities across 90 square miles, including Bartlett, Elgin, Hanover Park, South Elgin, Streamwood, and Wayne, as well as parts of Carol Stream, Hoffman Estates, St. Charles, Schaumburg, and West Chicago. The program currently offers messages in English, Spanish, Brazilian- Portuguese, and Arabic.
