Our community is now two weeks past the launch of The Basics Greater Elgin—what an exciting start! Over 200 of you have already answered the call and signed the Community Saturation Map, committing to building strong foundations for our youngest children.
As we continue this momentum, you can watch the launch presentations from Dr. Suzanne Johnson, Superintendent School District U-46, Dr. Ron Ferguson, founder of Basics Inc. and the community panel all posted on the Enriching Partnerships for Early Learning YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@enrichingpartnerships/videos. Please watch, reflect on, share, and consider how you can support community saturation of this important initiative.
A commitment of 200 is a fantastic beginning—but we serve a region with over 200,000 adults and 18,000 children under age five. To truly saturate the Greater Elgin area with The Basics, we need you to help to grow the reach.
Here’s where you come in: go through your contacts, your networks, your circles—invite others to take the call and sign on. Every connection counts. Every commitment helps build a stronger start for our children.
Together We Can take the “call” to help saturate for young children!
