EPEL is Coordinating the Plays: Strengthening the Early Childhood System

EPEL serves as one of the quarterbacks of the early childhood system, helping coordinate and guide efforts across our community. But like any great team, we rely on strong players—our cross-sector partners—who are stepping up in big ways. If you attended The Basics Greater Elgin kickoff, you heard the call to action to “take the call” for early childhood—and many in our community have answered. They’re making big plays that move us closer to ensuring every child enters school ready to thrive.

We all know that children don’t prepare for school on their own—it takes an entire team to win in the readiness game. And we need you to keep playing your best game. Over the next year, we’ll be spotlighting the teammates who are putting in the effort to win for children and families.

Below is a look at the start of our community saturation—partners who are taking the call seriously and leading with heart for our youngest learners. Thank you for continuing to answer the call and for serving families with care and commitment.

So… who’s ready to raise their hand and say, “Put me in, coach?”
